This year’s Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show is shaping up to be one of the best ever, with world class entertainment on display over the 14th, 15th and 16th of June.

“The Sunshine Coast Show has become recognised as the sixth largest agricultural show in Queensland,” said Show President, Rowan O’Hara.

“Every year I think we manage to top the previous one, in terms of the number of exhibitors and sheer quality and variety of entertainment.”

This year will be no exception, with ‘Horse whisperer’, David Manchon bringing his extraordinary ‘Wild West Arena Show’ to the Coast for the first time.

“We are really excited about this, it will be a highlight of the Show,” Mr O’Hara said.

“The show is called ‘The Bison Stampeed’ and suffice it to say, it should be pretty interesting, having a bison, cattle and horses sharing the ring!”

“Flair Action Sports will also be providing entertainment, taking us back to the Roman Empire and chariot races in another world class exhibition of skill,” he said.

Lovers of V8 Supercars will appreciate the contest of speed between Ford and Holden, and crowd favourites, KC Fireworks never disappoint with their magnificent fireworks displays.

“There are almost too many attractions to mention,” Mr O’Hara said.

“Absolute Aerials will be performing at the front gate, and on the Education Stage there will be sheep shearing, and the Light Horse Brigade.

“Dave Manchon will be giving talks on horse whispering, Sunshine & Sons will talk about the secrets to their world class distilling, and on the Community Stage there will be lots of local acts, including dancing, singing, and school competitions. Maleny Botanical and Bird garden will be roaming around the crowd with Macaws.”

The traditional favourite ‘show foods’ will be available, and most food allergies will be catered for.

Patrons are invited to park at the Nambour train station and catch the free shuttle bus to the Showgrounds.

“We are very aware that families are feeling the cost of living pinch, so we welcome picnic baskets, and we have lots of free activities for kids,” Mr O’Hara said.

“Our fantastic team of volunteers are working overtime to pull this year’s Show together, and we can’t wait to open the gates and share all of these exhibits and experiences with our visitors.”
