Global music meets local heart in rare concert at The Presynct

An unforgettable night of global music, culture and connection is coming to Nambour — and locals are invited to be part of it.

‘Listen Forward: Sitar Mastery’ with Snehesh Nag is a one-night-only concert and fundraising event on Wednesday June 25 at The Presynct, hosted by Long Listen Festival in partnership with local and national arts organisations.

At its heart is the Australian debut of international sitar master Snehesh Nag, whose soulful blend of traditional Hindustani music and cross-genre innovation has captivated audiences worldwide.

He’ll be joined by Brisbane tabla artist Shen Flindell and acclaimed cellist and festival director Louise King for a genre-defying headline performance.

Guests will enjoy welcome drinks, Tibetan food by Chef Jamba of Spirit of Tibet, and a live performance by local indie folk artist Maree Gwynne as support.

The evening also includes a sneak peek of the 2025 Long Listen Festival program and a silent auction.

“This intimate cabaret-style event is a celebration of music’s power to connect and transform,” said organiser Louise King. “It’s also a fundraiser to help Long Listen expand its 2025 festival and support independent artists. It’s also  chance to experience something rare and enriching right in the heart of Nambour.”

Tickets are strictly limited. Doors open 5.30pm. Dress is ‘creative glamour cocktail’.

“Book now and be part of something bigger than a show — it’s a movement,” said Louise.
