Aldi goes nuts for our local macadamias
Sunshine Coast macadamias are enjoying centre stage – or rather, centre aisle – as part of a national deal with supermarket chain, Aldi.
Yandina-based Nutworks will have selected items from the range of premium Australian macadamia products featured in Aldi's centre aisle for a limited time from Wednesday November 8.
“It’s been months of hard work and sheer determination from the incredible Nutworks team, and we are immensely proud that we can finally share this exciting news,” said Sarah Leonard, International Sales Manager for Nutworks.
The deal means premium local products, manufactured in Yandina will be available across the country, exposing brand new consumers to the quality our region can produce.
"It's a great win, not only for us and Sunshine Coast business, but most importantly for our local macadamia growers. We believe that so many will benefit from the heightened brand exposure, from production, to manufacturing and retail."
The Aldi placement underscores Nutwork's commitment to local growers and the promotion of macadamia products to Australia and the world.
Looking ahead, the future may see the inclusion of a discounted sister range to Nutworks as a more permanent product placement on Aldi shelves - an opportunity to support the industry and consumers with premium macadamias at a budget-friendly price point.
