New stage, sound boost for music club

Last Saturday the Hinterland Music Club launched a new sound system and performance stage at the Maleny Historical Village big barn. Country music fans acknowledged generous State and Local support as they were joined by Councillor Winston Johnston, Historical Society representatives, and President of the Club Barry Burgum.

Barry welcomed the funding boost and proposed to start a practice day to encourage beginner participation. He also wants to broaden the easy listening style of music being played and sung in relaxed surroundings on the second Saturday of every month.
