In November last year, Nambour business, The Chi Hub changed hands and new owner, Brooke Newnham has brought her own style of energy work to Nambour, at the newly named Soul Song Temple of Healing Arts.

“I had worked for 14 years as a tattooist on the Sunshine Coast and in 2020, I became interested in the world of energy healing,” Brooke said.

“I was intuitively drawn to Reiki, and my study of Reiki opened up a whole new world to me.”

Brooke spent time in Wellington New Zealand where she studied Reiki, and from there she moved into ceremonial tattooing.

A tattoo ceremony is a sacred, intentional approach to getting a tattoo, where the experience is seen as a ritual or rite of passage, with spiritual significance.

“I was really drawn to Wellington and the funny thing is, while living there I traced my family history back to 1855, to the neighbouring town, where I would take my young daughter to play.”

Having initially been a little nervous about Reiki, Brooke found her new sensitivity to energy exhilarating.

“The sensation of energy moving through me during treatments was so exciting and it came very naturally, it’s more of a remembrance.

“As my practice has deepened, my energy work sessions have evolved, now often incorporating light language and sound therapy.

“This combination of modalities works with the clients intentions whether that be for healing, clearing, activation or simply relaxation- the feedback from clients is wonderful.”

Along with Brooke, there are nine other natural health practitioners offering their services from Soul Song Temple of Healing Arts.

“Soul Song is a sacred sanctuary dedicated to supporting the community in their healing and ascension journey,” Brooke said.

“It is home to a passionate team of holistic practitioners, who share their skills, wisdom, knowledge and soul gifts through a diverse range of healing modalities to support people through their healing and awakening journey.”
