Ride on Mini Trains public running day in Nambour

The next Public running day for the Ride on Mini Trains (formerly known as the Sunshine Coast Railway Modellers Society Inc.), will be Sunday June 22 from 10 a.m. until 2.30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Mini Train Park,  1 Florence St. Nambour (off Hospital Rd, with plenty of parking 100metres away in the QR station car park).

“Miniature steam and battery electric locos will haul our trains around the 1km of track in the park,” said President, Ken Coulter.

Rides are by a donation of $3 per ride for adults, or passes of 6 rides for $15 and 20 rides for $50 are also available.  Children 4 years and under travel free with a fare paying adult passenger.

“There will be a sausage sizzle and cold drinks available on the day,” Mr Coulter said.

“These days are always very popular and people of all ages love to ride the mini trains. The mini trains are the best value family day out on the Sunshine Coast.”

For safety, enclosed shoes must be worn while riding the trains. Volunteers and new members are always welcome to assist with the operation of the railway.
