Nambour Orchid Society presents 2024 awards at year-end meeting

The Nambour Orchid Society’s final meeting of the year was held to recognize the excellent contributions of its members, with awards presented in several categories. 

Our patrons were on hand to present both the perpetual shield and artwork by Beryl Robertson.

The awards for 2024 went to:

• Alcorn Native Trophy for most points in Natives Popular Vote: Cliff and Annette Alexander.

• Cattleya shilleriana painting for Judges’ Choice of the Year: Loraine Hocking.

• Flowering Plant for Judges’ Choice Novice of the Year: Lourens Meintjens.

• Dendrobium Golden Aya painting for most points in Popular Vote for 2024: Luda Hallcroft.
