Nambour Grown: businesses invited to sponsor garden beds

Growing together: Tracie, Mel and Racheal from Nambour Grown.

Nambour Grown, the community garden located on Heritage Terrace within the Nambour Showgrounds, is preparing for an exciting 2025 growing season and is inviting local businesses to play a vital role in its success.

The community garden initiative, run by a dedicated group of volunteers, is calling on local businesses to sponsor garden beds, helping to ensure the continued growth of fresh produce while fostering sustainability, health, and community connection.

“Our 2025 season is going to be the best year yet,” says Racheal Pascoe, President of Nambour Grown. “We have the knowledge and a fantastic team of volunteers to make it all happen, but we’re looking for Garden Partners to join us in supporting this wonderful project.”

Businesses can sponsor a garden bed for as little as $125, with options to sponsor multiple beds. Sponsorship includes all necessary materials such as soil, mulch, seeds, and seedlings, along with the labour to maintain the garden bed throughout the growing season. In return, sponsors will have their business logos displayed prominently in the community garden and be featured in Nambour Grown’s social media posts, providing valuable exposure while supporting a local cause.

“Sponsoring a garden bed helps us maintain a sustainable food source for the community, but it’s about more than just food,” Pascoe explains. “It’s about building connections through workshops, events, and educational opportunities that bring people together in a shared green space.”

The community garden has long been a place for local residents to come together, whether through hands-on workshops or simply enjoying the produce grown on-site. “We’re offering local businesses a chance to be part of something bigger—a project that promotes sustainability and gives back to the Nambour community,” Pascoe says. “It’s a chance to show your business cares about making Nambour a better place.”

Sponsorship opportunities include: 1 garden bed for $125; 2 garden beds for $240; and 5 garden beds for $560

Nambour Grown encourages businesses to get involved by sponsoring a garden bed and contributing to the ongoing success of the garden. For more information or to express interest, contact Racheal Pascoe at 0407 221 398 or via email at nambourgrownpresident@gmail.com.

“Together, we’re growing our community, one garden bed at a time,” Pascoe adds.
