Discover hidden treasures at Op Shop Open Day

Mapleton’s popular RangeCare Op Shop is celebrating its recent facelift with a special Open Day on Wednesday, April 9, from 9am to noon at 17 Obi Obi Road.

Known for its eclectic range of pre-loved goods, the Op Shop offers everything from quality clothing and shoes to toys, bric-a-brac and small furniture items. Visitors to the Open Day can shop sustainably, support a worthy  cause and enjoy a free sausage sizzle, complimentary coffee & the chance to win raffle prizes.

Established in May 2018, RangeCare’s Op Shop has become essential to fundraising efforts, helping sustain critical services offered by Blackall Range Care Group, known locally as RangeCare. “Every purchase directly helps our community,” a RangeCare spokesperson said. “Funds raised from sales enable local residents to remain independent in their own homes by subsidising in-home and respite services.”

Volunteers are crucial to the Op Shop’s success, assisting with sorting, washing and ironing donated goods. RangeCare is keen to hear from new volunteers who would like to contribute their time and skills.

The Op Shop’s recent revamp has enhanced its appeal, making shopping easier and more enjoyable than ever. Shoppers are encouraged to discover hidden gems while knowing they’re contributing positively to their local community.

Head along to the Op Shop Open day to see what treasures you can discover, and support your local community in the process.
