According to the findings of a new survey released last month that polled more than 30,000 customers from the ten biggest banks, Bendigo Bank home loan customers are the most satisfied in Australia.

“I think this indicates that our customers are happy with the product we are offering, but even more importantly, our focus on service and developing our relationships with our customers is key. People want to be able to talk to a real person, in person, who understands what they need and want from their bank.”

Community Bank Woombye opened in 2009 when a group of local residents partnered with Bendigo Bank to create a convenient option for the people of Woombye to do their banking.

“Our branch is owned by local shareholders, and most of our profits are channelled back into the community,” Ms Saunders said.

“Over the past 15 years, our board of volunteer directors have seeded over $300,000 back into the local community. Beneficiaries include the Woombye Library, the Woombye State School and P&C, the Sunshine Valley Men’s Shed, the Woombye Bowls Club, the Woombye Happy Days Festival, Parent to Parent and many others.
